If you ever have suspicions, definitely do your research. Facebook had an ad for Barnes n noble saying it was going out of business and every book and book series was only $3. I really wanted it to be true. But I looked at the website name and it did have Barnes and noble in it but I went to Google and looked up the actual website and it was different. I also googled to see if it was going out of business and it wasn’t. So always look into it. Your gut is usually right
Damn, I’m sorry that happened to you! I just placed my first order through Tiktok… but it was during a live and it was through the yellow shopping cart, it looks like it’s in transit but now I’m a little worried? I would reach out to the better business bureau and report the website and your issue with them, the better business bureau has helped me get funds back!
I had an issue with TikTok purchase a few years ago, but my bank immediately flagged it as fraud and my bank card got cancelled and I had to wait on a new one. I have ordered other things since from verified accounts and it’s been ok. You should get your full refund! It’s only fair.
This is honestly why I don’t trust Tik Tok at all for buying things, whether it is direct off Tik Tok or it sends me to another site. I usually look it up on my own and do research on websites like Quora or Reddit to see what others think.
I’m sorry this happened to you though. Had it happen to me once, and never trusted stuff like this again.
I had a similar thing happen where they told me they could refund a percentage of my total purchase, I argued with them and threatened to take it to a third party, ignored them for 3 days and they gave me a full refund.
If they think they can get away with it they’ll try anything 😂

Please check that the card you used hasnt had any unauthorized charges. I fell for an advertisement once and they told me it was delivered and I tried to dispute the charge since nothing showed up. Over the next 6 months they kept charging me small sums that I didn’t notice until I looked at my bank statements and had to block my card.
in my experience, if a company doesn’t have a bunch of good reviews, i don’t buy from them.

This happened to me before and I disputed it, but I also had to change my card number because a month later I started getting these random unauthorized charges. Better safe than sorry to have your card number changed. It can be a pain if you have autopay you do need to notify those companies that the card has changed, but it’s better than opening a claim for unauthorized charges that always take forever to dispute and not getting your money back right away.
Get a new card just in case, but still watch out for unauthorised purchases. Get an entirely new bank number if they proceed or start to take money after getting a new card, that’s what helped me for good. I went through a year long battle with a scam company that had my bank account and I had no clue why purchases were being made no matter how many new cards were ordered. Goodluck ❤️

If you used a credit card for the purchase, you can try contacting them for a chargeback.
Yeah when it sends you off of TikTok onto another website that’s the warning sign. I’ve ordered through TikTok and it’s been fine, but through TikTok shop, not redirected somewhere else. I hope you get refunded ❤
I bought off TikTok one time. Never got the product I paid for either. Since then I’ve refused to purchase off tiktok

Contact the better Business Bureau. I believe I had to do it online but they did get back to me and went after the company. I did finally receive my money back.
The old adage “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is” holds true again. Sorry this happened to you Christine and I hope it gets rectified soon.
